I ordered one from SWF.com. It is in my quarantine tank. Reason for the post is, a lot of people talk about de-worming them? Are worms really that common ?

Fish looks fine. Also in the QT from same order is red dragonet and shrimp goby...

Thoughts?

Internal worms are definitely a potential problem. I've had a few that were eating still waste away. I QT mine, along with any other potential acclimation/feeding fish, in my coral/invert QT tank.

I made sure my QT was cycled and I actually put some live sand from my DT into a tubberware bowl for them to burrow. It took awhile to get them eating and after that I dose Prazi-Pro. Haven't had any issues with them.

Definitely put sand in your QT. I did TTM, freshwater dips, formalin dips, prazipro and antibiotics (had some type of fungal happening). About 7 weeks in QT and he did great. Not everyone has had such success with QT tho.

This is what I did with my trio. I started with frozen mysis and then pellets. One of the trio turned in to a male where they been in DT for last 3 months

Definitely agree with adding sand. It's possible they stay hidden for days at a time, especially at first. But if you don't have the sand your chances of success in QT go way down. I would feed medicated foods to ensure there are no internal parasites.
