Leopard Wrasse

I got them from Liveaquaria.com. On the first order the lineatus was on sale for $120, but by the time it showed up dead they were back up to $220 so that's why I ordered the labouti instead.

The leopard wrasse is really growing on me. He has great colors and the personality of a wrasse.

I have my top ring made and sealed yesterday, 2 coats of Poly-Shade by tomorrow. Then my tank will be Leopard Wrasse ready, unless they can jump a 6" wall. Thats a cool fish

That should hold the wrasses. I should say that this labouti wrasse is the first fish I've ever had jump out of a tank. The leopard wrasse was never jumpy, and does fine with everything.

He's doing great! He's out all day picking at the rock, glass, and sand, and doesn't hide when I put my arm in the tank. He also eats frozen mysis, brine, and tried to eat a whole frozen bloodworm. No fear of starving!

He learned very quickly that the reason the other fish get so exited when I dip the shotglass in to get some tank water to melt some food, it means dinner.

Well, I finally got these flatworms treated today. I spent the morning siphoning all I could after removing all the macro algae from the fuge. I just treated with flatworm Exit about 25 minutes ago and the flatworms are floating around in the fuge. I decided it would be better to treat the whole system instead of just the fuge.

In preparation, I set up a big fluval canister filter with all 8 chambers packed with carbon and got it primed. I also filled 3 large mesh bags with carbon and got it ready. I started the fluval and threw the rest of the carbon in the sump about 5 minutes after they were all floating. I started the skimmer, and I'm watching it close cause it's going nuts.

Everything is looking good so far. I'm getting ready to do a large water change. I timed the FWE with the end of today's interceptor treatment. That should be it for the redbugs, and now no more flatworms.

Phwew, this is the first time in a long time that I've spent an entire day working on the tank!

You might want to do one more FW Exit, I found a few survivors the time I did it. Its worth it, but makes going to Frag auctions scary since so many people have pests now a days. Look at the Zoo Nudis at the last auction, thats why I get most of my stuff from just a few people (miss Ed, lol) and Frank. Still no guarantee, but at least you know they did all they could to be sure.

That's a good idea John. Over the coming days I'll be searching every square inch looking for even a single survivor.

There are still a few surviving flatworms in the fuge. :(
I put in a whole vial of FWE, good for 300 gallons. I guess I'll be ordering another one and doing it again next weekend.

I have the question out now in the Salifert question. We'll see what Habib says. I think you're right though. I'm going to overdose like crazy.

I forget how much I OD'd, but it was a lot with no ill effects. Been flatworm free for a few years now.
