I just obtained my first Lepastrea about 2 weeks ago from
Dr.'s F&S. This 4 inch piece is blue/purple with red polyps.
I have had this acclimating about 1/4th from the bottom in my 92 gallon corner mature tank with a single 250W 10K USHIO MH supplemented with 2 T5's and 2 VHO's.
I am noticing a little recession of polyps on one side of the rock it is attached to. I know this coral can adapt to many different lighting schemes, but I am not sure if I should place it lower in the tank or place it higher. Also not sure if the color of this coral plays into where it wants to be.
I have good flow (not overpowering) provided by a 900 gph return pump and a CL powered by a Sequence Snapper and Ocean Motion super squirt.
Thanks in advance for your suggestions.
