How large is it? Because if it's under 5", it's probably a species I have... They're basically water earthworms with bristlies.

Well, I've never seen one of mine that close up, but if I put my computer a few feet away that looks like mine. They aren't a good thing to touch, but they're harmless to your tank.
I didn't know they had that rainbow shimmer... Amazing what you can learn about a thing from seeing it up close.

Sorry for the very late reply, I've been off RC for a while. It belongs to either Eurythoe complanata or a related species. They're scavengers & detritivores unlike Hermodice which is a predator.
