I got nothin'
My daughter who is 4, wanted a small tank in her room while I'm working on the big tank.
So I bought her a little fluval edge 5 gallon, threw some RO water in it, cycled it, and bought her some glow fish. (The pink ones of course.)
One day at the pet smart, she wanted a sucker fish. I gave in and bought him.
I didn't put it in QT, I put it in the tank. That was 2 weeks ago.
The next couple days later, the tell tale signs of Ich showed up with her healthy glow fish covered in it.
No matter what I did, the Ich spread and killed all the inhabitants.
I knew better, I was hurried, I was careless and the animals paid for it.
Lesson:
Always. QT. your. New. Animals.
Always.
Even something as acenine as a 5 gallon freshwater tank requires responsible habits and hygiene.
