Lets do the Tango.

Hey guys, I want some of your opinions on what tangs to get. I want 3 tangs the shape of a powder blue tang, and 3 tangs the shape of a yellow tang.

I currently have: a chevron tang, a blue hippo tang, and a red sea sailfin.

I want to add: an achilles tang, a red sea purple tang, and a yellow tang.

What would you guys do?

From reading your other posts it seems that you have an 4 foot 120 gallon tank. IMO, you already have 2 tangs that will outgrow it (( the "hippo" and sailfin )), and should not be thinking about adding 3 more tangs. If you do, I see dead tangs in the future.

Todd is right. No more tangs in a 120 gallon tank, in fact subtracting two would be about right.

While the yellow, purple and sailfin all do share a body shape, your other 3 do not. All 3 of your other choices are from different families. The chevron is a bristletooth from the ctenochaetus family, the achilles is from the acanthurus family and the hippo is all alone in the paracanthurus family.
