Lets Get This Party Started

Here in about two weeks, i'm going to order some acros online. Reefy and whoever else wants to come over can when they come in and have some beers and maybe a few of us could chip in and buy a piece of coral and frag it. If this sounds like fun to anyone let me know.

I'm also still having problems with my neptune jr. If anyone has experience, or even if you don't have any experience, you can come over and help me mess with it. My new orp probe came in today so if anyone has any calibration fluid that would be helpful.

yea am down, what website are you goin to order from?? i was thinking liveaquaria in the diver den they have some pretty nice wysiwyg arcos.

I'm down to order from where ever. I've had good experieneces with saltwater fish.com but iy doesn't matter because i've ordered from them all. Salt Water fish is having a special. $20 shipping on all orders.

Whats up guys,

I'm pretty new to the site, I've been searching for a local reef club out here in Albuquerque, looks like one doesn't really exist yet beyond this forum (which is an awesome forum, btw!). I moved out here from Florida a few months ago, and am having a hard time finding other people who dig SW tanks as much as I do.

I don't know if you've already gotten together like you suggested earlier in the thread, but I wanted to at least throw my hat in the ring, introduce myself (name's Chris), and to start to get involved with you guys.

Anyways, take it easy!

nice nice thats tight man you into reef hobby as much as i do.. i love this hobby and i mean.. but i dont like southwest reef "PRICE" though honestly..=D

My SW tank's a 90 gallon reef-ready. I don't keep any corals currently, other than a zoa colony, a few mushrooms, and a small maze brain. I've kept it lightly stocked as far as fish goes though, and have practiced keeping the water clean and supplemented properly from the get go. I guess I wanted to be sure I could keep a tank healthy for corals, before I spent the money to put them in it.

I've got the proper equipment, except maybe a refugium: Current USA Outer Orbit MH+PC light fixture, AquaC EV-180 skimmer, DIY carbon/other media reactor, Koralia #4's in the display, DIY sump with skimmer and return sections only (refugium section too small, ~6-7 gallons, so I don't use it), ~150 lbs live rock.

The tank's been up for about a year, though I recently (two weeks ago) moved into a new apartment, so it's not like it's an old, mature tank. I've been considering moving ahead with adding some corals.

I'm just looking for a group of people I can discuss the hobby with and learn from though! If we get together to buy/trade corals and other stuff, then that's a bonus.

I'm in the same boat, I just have a small 40 gallon current solana , I like it but just some reef rock & a snail I named "Frank!" I got most parms under control now and i'd like to secure a good maroon(sp) clown fish to get started.

I'd like to learn how to dip new arrivals in m.blue freshwater dip before introducing into my small tank.

no thanks, I've got all the fish I want for it for now. I've got a maroon clown, a firefish goby, a blue/green chromis, a 4-stripe damsel, and a midas blenny.
