Let's see some A. loripes!

After looking at the photos and Veron descriptions, I don't know how a person could possibly tell loripes from rosaria until it becomes a large colony with secondary growth characteristics. Some of the photos of smaller colonies on AIMS even look virtually identical...especially when loripes lacks the bare branches like this one
The corallites actually look more elliptical on rosaria in Veron.

Both species seem to commonly exhibit the dark rounded corallites and white polyps. Both great looking corals too! Have to watch mine to see how it grows out in time.

SD guy, my colony looked a lot like yours when I got it. The purple tips seem to remain on the interior branches, but the bright bright blue is only on the new growth it seems. If yours isn't growing much that could by why it's lost a lot of the color. Could try boosting the light or flow, or just giving it more time...mine really doesnt seem to mind getting blasted with light.

Thought this was a granulosa as a small frag. (center right)

then it grew to be like this: a loripes perhaps?!?

I do not mean to make it look and sound like i'm seeking an ID if it does, LOL!

^^That looks like a fenneri.

Here's what most people, including Kevin Kohen, agreed upon as a rosaria. It started out looking like a lokani
