Are most of you guys SE or HQI ? Also, how long do you run the MH bulbs for ?

Mine are se 175 xm10,000k's. I have 4X65 pc actinics which are mounted inefficiently. They do really glow the tank after the white lights are off but my camera can't get a pic and I don't have a white balance setting, at least that I figured out anyway. I plan to go to those Iwasaki 14,000K's when these are due to be changed. I have misc. blue zo's etc. that I can't see any blue in with these 10,000k's.

I run the halides 12-8:30 with a ramping up/down with the pc actinics 3 hrs before and 3 after.

2x400 watt SE Iwasakis @ 9 hours a day, along with 2x110 watt Actinics @ ~12 hours a day.
