sweet job guys. Anyone have any experience with the iceprobe HOB chillers? Reason I ask is because I am wondering how well they actually work. I want a tank with a 250 hqi pendant and a tank size of 15 or 20 gallons, but I'm wondering if the chiller can hold the temps stable if I use the 20 gallon. Any experiences to share?

i dont know about the iceprobe, ive been wanting to buy one, right now i just have a giant fan blowing on my tank when necessary...

A 250 on that small of a tank I don't know if the ice probe can handdel it. The I went with T-5's because I've got a 250W MH with about 8 hrs of use just sitting in my living room. The heat in the summer was just way to much for me to handdel without running the AC all the time. I'm thinking you are going to need a 1/10hp chiller to do the job...or if you run your AC a lot durring summer and use a lot of fans on the tank you might be able to pull it off.

thats exactly what i have to do with the ac and fans... i have a 400 watt 20k mogul on mine w/2 32 watt actinics i have to check my temp about 3 times a day...

i have a 400w on mine i just use a pc fan it keeps the temp around 26-27 but i get around 6-7 Litres of eva water. hopeful will be buying a teco micro this holiday trip :)
