Lets see those 40g Breeders!

Got the income tax back, looking to setup a 40g breeder. No idea if the bottom is tempered or not, planning to go mostly sps, with a dash of LPS to fill in the sides (single 250w on this tank). How are most of you running your overflows?

I'm using mine as a refugium/frag tank with the bottom drilled and a 1"stand pipe that flows down into a sump. If it were my main tank I would either drill it out the back or use an overflow box.

The bottom shouldn't be tempered. Here is my 40 gallon frag tank. I had the bottom drilled. I added the Durso, cut the overflow out of black acrylic and siliconed it in place myself.

I'd post a pic of mine, but... well... my camera was stolen -- which is probably a good thing since there's not much to see except a pile of rock Still recovering from the move and trying to sell off some rock to the LFS's or reefers in the area.

Good to hear that the bottom isn't tempered, as I've had less than stellar results with drains in the back glass.
