LEt's see those Hamilton 14k's!

I agree. But I didnt want to spend the 200.00 if they werent go work out right. But anyway...I've ordered the hamilton 14k's. If it is too blue... I'll add the 10k VHO's I have instead of the Actinics.

I like that store, BTW... the best in our area. They had some NICE ORA frags this week! I know some people call him the Fish Nazi because he's not very "warm and fuzzy"...but you know what? He talked me OUT of spending $200.00 at his store because he knew that I (his customer) would be unhappy if I did buy those bulbs...that to me says VOLUMES about him and his integrity. I'll always go back there!

My 250w SE 14k hammy powered by ARO eballast. Great color on this bulb IMO!!!

So far I really like the color of this bulb.
Do you think I'll have to run VHO actinics or VHO 10k's as the supplement?

I had them, but just replaced them with XM 10K because I wanted a higher PAR. Also, I felt mine were a little too blue. I also had 2 96W Super Blue VHO - which were only being used for morning and evening lights. Without any other lights, going from the MH to nothing would be a drastic change that may not be appreciated by your fish or corals.
After switching, I like the 10K XM's, but any green algae on the back of the glass makes the area look a little yellow. If you have clean glass with a blue backdrop the 10k's look great.
