I'd really like to see a pic of a nice sized Idaho grape colony- I'd also like to hear about how they've kept their color...

That is a pic of my grape frag from a couple months ago. It has since doubled in size and is now completely purple. Too bad I'm too lazy to take another pic.

Here is mine. Got as a two inch frag less than six months ago. Has tripled in size

Here's mine. Got it from Tyree as a 1" frag about 7 mo ago. Now about 4" by 5". As you can see its kept its nice purple color with purple polyps.

Is there a consensus on placement for best coloration of this coral?

Mine is down low directly under a 250W P15K DE. Actually the best thing I did for color was started running Phosban. They will darken up and growth will slow if your nutrients get high.

Not from Tyree,so I didn't pay the inflated prices, but here is my purple undata with blue polyps.

It's in a mostly softie tank with (2)-75W VHO's.
