Lets see your 'nem/'nemfish only tanks

I'm seriously looking into starting a speces only tank with my maroon and a BTA. I'd love to see others tanks who have nem and nem fish only systems and hear about your lighting,flow filtration etc.
(if this thread has been posted a million times- please help me find the others lol)

Q) Does flow, lighting or genetics play a role in why bubble tips have bubbles or not?

Thanks miniwhinny. I do love them. she is part of a mated pair. The nem split in two recently. Anytime I put my hand in the tank to move a rock or add a coral etc. she bites me. She will follow my hand around the tank whether it is near her nem or not. They have personality. I love having them in my tank. Thanks again

The bubbles come and go, but mostly go. The jury is still out on what causes bubbling to happen. Some speculate it's when they are hungry, others think it is light; I don't know. Sometimes one anemone will have bubble tips and one right beside it won't.

mine very rarely will have bubble tips. either way you gotta love them

Thank you very much fancy and garygb. I'm still nervous about keeping them long term at only 8 months old in my tanks.

It was fortuitous that I picked up the Haddoni. I walked into the store I frequent and it was in a bucket that had a sign "free to a good home"!!! I took a chance and brought it home and hope all goes well.

here is my pair in a 12gall with a ton of corals! I have had only one die and that was my fault. I didnt move him far enough away from the nem. I have a RBTA with two black occys.

gauging by the size of the overflow, I asume that is a system70 correct?
can you give me a link to your tank build, (if you have one) .....I would like to see more.

Boozeman:: Thank you very much, that's very nice of you to say. You are correct, I have 2 system 70's and they are each nem/clown only tanks. You must be an Elos aficionado. I do not have a tank build, I didn't think anyone would really care........I also believe that it's a jinx to post things too soon.
