Oh my, those colonies are huge... how do they grow so big in captivity?
Largest size I've seen locally is barely 8" to a foot, but these are well over 2 feet!

Here is Bullwinkle, I accidentally broke him off his base & ended pulling it out & cutting it down to size. This is 4 years growth from a 3" small colony. Second pic is same coral after a good trimming.

Bullwinkle is in a 175 bow front he grew to over 2' wide & 2'tall. He came from Rick souta as a little guy back in mid 2007. Rick said it was a blue slimmer, it is blue & it does slime. He must have been right.

It's 9 inches across. It was 10 but then a battle with AEFW I fragged it down to one inch. It took a year and a half but it's back!!:bounce3::bounce2:

I fragged just the tips of my favotite acros dipped them and threw everything else out. It was one of the worse days in 35 years in this hobby. It was also the third time I had gone through dipping the colonies three times a week for weeks. They would be gone for awhile then boom, back they came so I got ****ed and just tossed everything. :uzi:
