Lets talk about shrooms over a year old

I would like to see and discuss your shrooms! Any type of shroom, ric, yuma or oddball unknown shroom like things.

Seriously though, lets see them shrooms that you have kept for longer than one year.
I am comming up on a year of reef keeping, and i am also very interested to see what types we are actually able to keep in our closed systems over a period of time. I know for me, i cant keep a yuma alive and healthy for the life of me. I also notice alot of bullseye shrooms not looking so hot in the LFS and online shops.

I would like to discuss the tanks they are in also, lighting, flow ect...

Like i said i have not had the reef for quite one year yet so my pics and shrooms dont count, even though i love to share pics =-)
I know some of us have some pics or stories to share, lets have at it.

These were actually the 1st corals i ever bought for my 36g back in about October/November 2004. They were on a rock with 4 rhodactis but they all peeled and went there seperate ways in my tank.

This one was the size of a dime and is now about 6-8" across when expanded

This one was about the size of a silver dollar. Now when it fully expands it is literally almost the size of a dinner plate. It takes up the entire front quarter of the tank most of the time!

For the 1st 9 months they were just under stock 40w fluorescents:o

Since then, they have been unedr 130w's of pc.

I believe they are rhodactis of some kind?

When I got him 1 1/2 years ago the size of a nickel...

Recent. 7" or so across.

Was under 30w compact fluorescent early on but has been under 250w 14k metal halide ever since and is on the sand(16" deep tank). It's a rhodactis and has oddly never split, but does have two mouths.

Its beautiful. It looks to be similar to sufunks shroom. Did it look better under the PC lights or the more intense setup IYO?

Does anybody know where i can find a difinitive list of shroom species?

Thanks. Without a doubt he likes the halide better :)

What kind of flow do those big boys like? I see both tanks look like they are clean (no funk on sand ect) so im guessing there is good movement,

This guy started out as a very little guy in my nano cube in Nov 05 (I think). I had to move it to my 210. Now it is the size of a dinner plate when fully expanded. Every couple of months I feed it. I think it is now fully grown.

What are your water specs?

I kill yuma left and right but i blame it on my light, looks like you have much more light than i do.

I have a whole mess of these purple hue pink ones they are in low flow indirect lighting from a Hamilton 14 250se supplimented with 2x 110w Super actinic.I have had these for about 4 years or so...They are really cool depending on the angle the purple is more or less then the pink....

I have these Rhodactus since 2003 started out with 3 lost one and after about 3 years I had one split. They get about the size of a softball. I can say though when they get moved by me doing tank maintance they instantly puke up there insides and return to normal about an hour later.......They are that blue in the tank as well.....

I have the same blue/pink ones as the first pic, its good to know they are long lived. Your Rhodactus are beautiful, i really want some like that but i always see them looking sick online and in the LFS i think... Are they also known as bullseye?

i recieved this from a guy who was breaking down his 30 gallon reef of 5 years, although he had clearly let the tank go this mushroom was incredibly healthy, and has split off a smaller mushroom right next to it after being in my tank for about 2 months

Here is an unknown mushroom. It was the first thing I ever bought for my nanocube over 2 years ago, and the first thing I moved over to my new 29gal setup. Unfortunately I never fully understood the art of calcium and buffering, so it's been the size of a half-dollar since I bought it.

They look very nice. Just think if you kept everything in check... At least ya know they are hardy!
I think they look great and would love to have some in my tank. Very Nice.
