Lets try this/Tube Anemone

My LFS hasn't had any luck getting this guy to come out so he gave it to me to try. Nothing is slimming off and it is heavy and feels like there is something hard inside. I'm hoping given time it will come out. Does anyone have any ideas or anything to try? It is suppose to be a purple Tube Anemone. I burried what I thought was the pointed end into the sand.

Don't bury anything in the sand. The "anemone" will do so itself.

I happen to have a tank that is totally devoted to tube anemones. You said that it feels hard inside? That dosent sound good, but I know that when I put mine in it took them a few days to get comfortable before opening. What you should have done was set it on top of the sand and let it bury itself. They prefer that. Maybe just set it on top of the sand and see if it burys itself. Hope this helps!

maybe put a piece of krill or something in front of him tonite. That might help. Or even a silver side. They are nocturnal so dont expect it to happen right away.
