Lettuce sea slug macro safe?

I've had them on several occasions in the past and never had them eat any macros.

They prefer Penicillus (shaving brush), and Bryopsis, but will eat Halimeda and Derbesia (green hair algae) if pressed. They won't touch any red or brown macros.

Is it crispata or clarki? If you bought it online, it is almost certainly clarki. Below is a photo from Sidney Pierce's lab, showing crispata on the left.

I have collected some info on the genus in a web page, solar sea slug blog

I had one and loved it. It was by far my most active algae grazer I've owned. I had it for several months and it never touched my macros, only hair and turf algae.

Unfortunately it went after the algae on my power head and got minced into fresh fish food.

Best hair algae eater I've ever owned. Have trochus snails, cerithia, sea cucumbers and tangs and turbos but gram for gram none can touch the lettuce sea slugs. Just ordered five from LA for a 180
