lettuce sea slug reproduction?

What type of egg pattern do they lay? Any other reproduction information welcome too. I have one in a 40g frag tank. Although the system is tied to another 40g, the only fish in the frag tank is a mandarin. Snails consist almost entirely of stomata that have found there way into the tank from the fuge.

They lay white egg spirals. Usually they're infertile since it takes another slug to fertilize them and the mother can probably only hold sperm for about 2 weeks or less. What happens to the eggs after they hatch will really be anyone's guess. There are at least three species sold as lettuce slugs and all three major types of larval development seem to be represented. Which species has crawl-away juveniles and which ones are planktonic isn't known. Basically the only advice would be to try to raise them in a tank free of predators and with lots of food. Of course, knowing what that food is also requires knowing which species you have.

I was told it is a Pacific lettuce. The color is a little more vibrant than the Atlantic. After posting, I found it laying a spiral of eggs. There use to be another sprial, but I thought it was the stomata snails. It is gone now. Anyone know how long it should be before I see some babies if there are any? I only have one slug right now, but have been so impressed that I am getting two more. They look neat and are algae eatting machines!
