Level Loc not shutting off RODI

Hi folks, I've been doing some searching and can't get a straight answer for this.

I recently moved my tank and this necessitated a longer line between my rodi and my sump for my auto top off(level loc). It's always worked perfectly, but now that the tubing is routed over a door and is longer It doesn't seem like there is enough pressure to turn off the asov.

I've already replaced the asov with a new one. I also removed the check valve to blow through it and it seems to be working fine.

Any help is appreciated, I hope I'm not doomed to manually fill my tank. ugggg.:headwallblue:

I dont think it is the increase of tubing length. I would check something else like the float valve and the solenoid. I do not have the level loc but I built one something like it with parts from autotopoff.com. My RO/DI is around 50 feet away from the tank and run up the wall through the attic and back down to the sump.

I don't know. I can hold the float valve up with my hand and it will shut off for a few seconds and then it starts running. Just started when I moved it so that's why I figured it had to do with the extra length.

If you hold the float valve up and water still comes out you have a faulty float valve. Take it apart and inspect it.

I've taken it apart. It turns the water off for a few seconds then releases water with a hissing sound like theres some pressure behind it, which makes me think it's not the float valve. Wish I could get some product support from level loc.

Sounds like a faulty asov or float valve. FWIW I had a faulty solenoid and emailed them. They replaced it right away. Are they not answering your emails?

You are going to have pressure build up behind the float valve when in the off position. This is what triggers the asov to shut off the ro unit. If there is no water going out the waste water line of your ro unit when the float valve is in is shut off and not allowing water to flow the asov. The problem is your float valve. I don't remember the pressure rating on them but they are rated above municipal water pressure.

The reason you are not getting support from level lock is because they are out of business. Atleast this is what brs told me when I inquired about the availability of the product.
