Thinking of switching back to halides.. Anybody got any clean reflectors/pendants and ballast setups? Need to be in decent to great shape as I have no canopy and will be hung. Not interested in any combo lights or small pendants (like the 12x12 type) . I'd like Lumenmax/lumenbright/Cayman sun etc type ..

Let me know what you have I know a lot of people have switched to led so hoping someone has 2 setups in good shape. Prefer digital ballast but will consider m80 ballast for radiums. My ultimate score would be some lumenbright minis or lumenmax either with the black housing =). Please no beat up stuff it's going on my display.

If you want a swap I have a 6 bulb 39w 36" ATI sunpower in great shape with a ton of bulbs most new and some used and 2 new ballasts installed and some other equipment, avast kalk stirrer (basically new), bashea bio pellet reactor etc.. Let me know thanks will consider selling the ATI to buy new setups also so if interested pm me.. I can post pics if needed ..

Got 2 lumenarc minis, one of which has the black housing (although currently not on but can easily be put on) the other has no housing. Also have a dual 250W electronic ballast.

Are they in good condition? Trying to find dimensions for them online.. Are they the stealth model?

Brand of ballast and digital or magnetic?

How much are you asking?

Thanks

I think they're in decent conditions, they need a little spit shine and elbow grease to bring them to a nice sparkle, they've been collecting dust and what not for a while.

Here's the reflective side, the one on the right needs a little more love with some polish, but it should get shiny again fairly easily. Also the one on the right is what would be called a "stealth" model, it's the one that has the black cover, the other is a stand alone, you can see the rim around the edge on the left side it's folded over for strength since it doesn't have the black cover, also allows you to slide in a piece of tempered glass.

Here's the cover on the stealth version, in reality I got this before they even released it as a "stealth" model. It is missing a few black screws though. However I used the reflector without the black casing.

Size of them are 14.5" x 14.5", Lumenarc as a brand just doesn't exist anymore, the company that made them folded under some time back.

Ballast is electronic, not sure what "digital" is, but it's not a magnetic ballast. Unsure of brand, it was a replacement ballast for a brand name light fixture of some sort. I got it because it was electronic and could fire any two 250w bulbs. It doesn't have dimming or any of that stuff with it though. Still works good last I had it up.

Price for reflectors is $50 for both, and if you pick both of them up I'll throw in the ballast for free.

^^Wow great deal.. I'm really considering it just for the cost alone but I need to explore a few other options before I pick them up.

I'm not sure I would get complete coverage with them by themselves so adding t5 would be a must. I screwed up on asking for minis in the original post I feel I would need the large reflectors to have complete coverage and I'm not sure the 14 1/2" is going to get complete coverage on my 48" tank. My tank has a 8 x 54w powermodule on it now and coral is placed accordingly with the smaller reflectors I'm concerned about shadowing on the sides and bottoms of my sps.

Let me do some research before I commit to you and if it's still there (doubt it at the price) and I can work out the supplemental lighting to suit my need for aesthetics I'll send you a Pm.

Thanks again for taking the time to post in the thread.

Thanks but I'm going to have to pass. I need complete coverage for a 48" sps tank..

I should have been more specific in my OP about my needs =) .

If you're worried about coverage over 48" you should be fine, I ran them on my 48" wide 180g tank with excellent results. Remember they're not shooting out a round cylindrical beam of light as much as they are making a cone of light. But either way let me know, I'm in San Francisco so feel free to come by and check them out if you want, I even have an old 250w bulb if you want to see it fired up... pretty sure the bulb works but it's been a while.
