Gives Bad Advice.
Title says it all. Wanting to replace my radion and try out metal halide on my cube. Should specify I'm looking for only one pendant. My cube is 24x24x24.

Thanks to seeing Eddie's awesome tank yesterday.... :headwally::hmm4:

I have a Hamilton Caymen Sun, mogul base, LED moonlight, 250w reeflux cube ballast.

It's in good condition. Needs new hanging cable.

$130 with old as heck Radium bulb
$190 with brand spanking new Radium bulb

Price is firm.

Where are you located and what color is the bulb?

Miramar. About 7 min from Eddie!

Bulb is Radium. Same as Eddie. 20k. Ballast is magnetic which are designed for that particular kind of bulb. It's the nicest of the pendent reflectors in terms of looking finished. The lumen max might be a little better. I think Eddie runs lumen max elite reflectors. Color is a crisp blue.

Here is a pic of my ghetto tank. The quality of the blue is close but in person it's much brighter than the pic. It's the same blue as Eddie's tank.

Just thought I'd add if you do come over to buy it and see MY tank you might get a little more confused I want to buy LED LOL!

I think I have Eddie in the color department but he totally smokes me in the growth department. Sorry viejo;)

The halide would be perfect for your cube, but you should be fine with growth with the Radion especially right under it. The halide will more evenly light the tank. What kind of Radion do you have?

If you're dealing with small frags you need to realize they take time to grow no matter what light. The bigger the piece the faster it grows. If you're starting with 1" nubs be prepared to wait. That said things in Eddie's tank grow freakishly fast. I've seen it with my own eyes.

Yea. The few are nubs but I'm also not sure about all the customization and there are a lot of dark spots.

It's a gen 3 30rw. I just turned it up to 60% on the radiant setting.

I've also lost a few hard coral to stn lately and can't put a finger on it.
