I'm looking for a standard 5.5 gallon tank (16x8x10) to use for an auto top off water reservoir. I know PetCo is having their sale right now, but this tank isn't included with the sale. Anyone have one? Thanks in advance!

I have one. I also have 2 2.5 gallon tanks, a 20 and stand, and a 29 and stand I am looking to sell.
The 5.5 has an overflow box on the inside of it. I used it for a nano tank and put the pump and stuff inside the box.

tcamos, you used it for a nanotank? I'd be interested in seeing pics of it. I have been looking for a small tank for my mom. thanks

Yup. It was my favorite little tank and really fun to watch. It's why I started keeping yellow clown goby. Even though the tank is broken down, I will always keep the goby now, they are great little fish.

Thanks. I stuck a little Rio pump in the second chamber and had some filter media in the first. It had a little homemade ATO that had a 2.5 gallon reservoir. It sat on top of the refrigerator in my study.

My wife said my study was looking like a fish store (I had 7 tanks) so I broke down most of them and got a 50 gallon. It was the only one that made me a little sad to break down.

Oh wow @ 7 tanks, lol. It is definitely an addictive hobby. I have been looking for a small one that I can set up for my mom at her home. She loves the large saltwater tanks, but she just wants a smaller version. I had been looking into nanos, but this would definitely work. What side of the valley are you on?

I am in the east valley.

They are glass tanks all of them.

Everyone wants the small ones...I want to get rid of the 20 and the 29 and get the two stands out of my living room! ;)

One of the 2.5 is spoken for and the 5.5 is pending.

I am having trouble keeping track of who was first! Since lockekeyy started this thread looking for a 5.5 gallon I think he should get first dibs on it.

Thank you! Ill prob pass since I need to cut a small overflow so I can drain the small fuge back into my sump. Im heading to Home D today and will look for a different container.

The 5.5 gallon is taken. lockekeyy decided he wanted it, only fair since this was his threat and that's what he wanted. :)

I still have 1 of the 2.5, the 20, and the 29.

The 20 has a compact light that can go with it for soft corals and the 29 just has a regular fresh water hood with a plant bulb in it since it was a planted tank.

I know, and it's an odd price for a 2.5 as well. My guess, knowing how markets work, is that they sell a lot more of the 10 gallon than any other size so they can charge less for them. Just a guess. However, it was worth the money because they have been very useful tanks.
