Hello, I am coming from Guam in the next week and want to check out some local stores around SF or Sacramento area. Can anyone suggest any good ones to hit up? Also looking for another Hydra 26 HD. Thanks Mike

can't figure out how to edit.

I also have some things I can bring and trade.
- Kessil A160WE with gooseneck
- AI Hydra 26 with controller (currently over my quarantine so I need to know ASAP if I need to bring it)
- ReefOctopus skimmer 150INT

Neptune in San Jose is an amazing store! Huge with lots to browse thru.

Awesome, I will have to get over there and check it out
Eager to see what people have to suggest for the Sacramento area. I'm new to the valley also and don't know what's around me

also there is the bay area reef club that has a website and could suggest some good stores to visit while in sf area.

Aquarium depot in Citrus Heights is having there 5th annual customer appreciation sale this weekend. Aqua life in Rocklin. Bay bridge aquarium in Oakland area. All about fish in pleasant hill/Concord area

Thank you guys. I will have to go check these places out. I always like seeing different stores and what they have to offer. I assume SF has a local aquarium? How is it?

The Aquarium on Pier 39 is a bit lack-luster in my opinion. The good Aquarium is about an hour and a half south in Monterey (Monterey Bay Aquarium)
Cheers! Mark

While it is a well stocked store, their customer services sucks, They don't answer phones, their outgoing message says to send an email, but they don't respond to those either. Owner can't be bothered by customers.

academy of sciences in san fransisco has a great aquarium. they have a huge reef tank

Yeah. I'd probably spend a lot more at Neptune, if they just had a phone they answered. But they are as busy as they'd like. So I don't think they care. I still go just not as much as I would if I could just call to see if they have something I need. Most my funds go to aquatic collection and online.

Academy of Sciences is the best public aquarium in a hundred mile radius. But honestly, I've been out of the loop for a while so I couldn't tell you who. But hobbiest have way nicer tanks than any public aquarium. Way more color just not as many fish.

Never knew that. I've only been once and was blown away with how big the store was. But the only stores that are near me are all about fish and diablo corals. Good stores just smaller.

if you're looking for another Hydra 26, the six avenue aquariums sell them.

hope it helps

Thanks all. Picked up another Hydra 26.

Hit 4 shops this trip. All About Fish, Diablo Corals, Neptune Aquatics and Sea Splendor Aquarium. I must say Neptune Aquatics has alot of nice corals. I wish I could have brought some home.
