dangerwill.... spend the money on a Tunze Universal Osmolator.... it is totally worth it... I haven't had any problems with it. THe only suggestion i have with it tho is to use a peristalic pump rather than the cheaper pump they include with it. Only because with due time im talking yrs u'll have to replace the pump. But there are tons on the selling forums all the time... just gotta troll it and when you see it.... ATTACK!!!!
 
Simple easy DYI and you dont have to deal with electrical failures. It's gravity fed, but never have to worry about overflowing anything. The one in the picture is comercial made but an easy build of acrylic a tube and a bulkhead.

I suggested using an aqualifter as a pump. I should have said if you tank is under 50g or so. If your freshwater is hooked up directly to an ro line I strongly recommend the double float. I use a single because I only had room to put in a 2.5 gallon reservoir and its not enough to matter if it stuck on. Pain because that is about a days water.
