LF: Auto Top off Pump

I have a red sea max and have a water reservoir in the stand below the tank. I have the JBJ ATO and using an aqualifter (recommended from others) and it does not work well at all. It does not have the strength to pump the water well. The drips are too slow. Anyone have any suggestions on a decent pump that wont be overkill? Anyone have one they don't use and want to sell?

the aqua lifter is only rated for 30" head hence the extremely slow flow rate, a dosing pump would probably be better for what you are doing. or search for a low wattage pump

Ive been using an Aqualifter for my ATO for years and it works just fine. Maybe try to reposition the Aqualifter? I have mine pumping water through the wall from a Brute container on side of house. My Aqualifter is about 2' off the ground

I run 2 aqualifters in parallel to pull water from a 4' 100g reservoir to about 15' away into my sump. I have run them both individually and still in parallel and I still get water flow when the other is off (just slower).

I'm considering running a 3rd in parallel, so that in case 1 dies, my ato refill rate is not disturbed too much.

I had the same problem before until I looked into the ato and realized you can adjust the timing. You can have it run for a longer period of time to take care of your needs. I'm using one on my 265 and it is sufficient for my needs.

I use aqualifter also for years. Every once in a while ill run Vinegar through it for 10 minutes, the diaphrams can get clogged. then i use the same vinegar to flush the lines. A little vinegar wont harm your tank.
