These are the dark red polyped ones. Also looking for any unique one's OTHER than the typical red w/green centers, purple with green centers, red with purple centers or green with purple centers. ;)

Thx!!!

Check with G @ ABC Aquariums in Fairport. The last time I was in there he had some cool, non-standard blastos. That being said I don't think he has any black-cherry blastos. We got ours from ARC in Buffalo.

Thx Dave, unless G got some new ones in the last few days, I already have all his beauts! There are a cpl options available online but I figured I'd check locally first.

I just looked at ARC's site and that blasto they call "Black Cherry" isn't the one i'm looking for. Regardless of its name, I'm after the solid dark red morph.

Thx again!

Got a pic of what you're looking for (you're right, I've seen many different corals with that name)? I'm not local but I might have what you're looking for and am planning on coming to the swap at the end of the month...

Is this BC blasto?

That is the ARC black cherry, Justin is looking for a different one. Justin, ask Kyle for pictures of all his personal blastos. He might have 1 that is close.

That is the one I have. Unlike most Wellsi it grows and puts out new polyps. Many of the others slowly die. Don't take my word for it ask anybody who has kept them longer then 5 years.

Recent thread got me thinking. Who has aquacultured Blastos? Any pics. Many will slowly die over time...so just wondering. I have the ARC black cherry that has been fragged many times in the past, one of the few that I know grow well in captivity....

I have the standard red/green blastos that I got as a frag 3 or 4 years ago. They have probably tripled in size in that time.

This is a very old pic, but it's the best I can find right now.
