Thanks all, I've never tried one for aptasia removal in my DT. Has anyone had good success with one for this or is it hit or miss. And I'm a little concerned about it nipping at my coral and clams.

I just got a small one (probably a little bigger than a half dollar). He is a fantastic fish. Eats Mysis, Emerald Entree, and live blackworms which I suggest everyone try for their fish. He will hover over coral and look at them but doesn't pick at anything. I don't have any Aptasia so I can't comment on that.

These fish, every single CBB, has a unique personality so it's going to be a complete hit or miss with them removing Aptasia. They could in one tank, get traded, and not touch it in another.

The one I have eats aptasia, Mysis, rod's food just fine. But I have had him pick at lps if he isn't fed well and often. I try not to go crazy on my feeding and when it ate all the aptasia I missed a few feedings and he picked on some acans and a cubensis scoly( which it killed). But that said I've had better luck long term with a copperband than with the aptasia eating filefish which picked at more corals than just the lps. Also try to get one that is eating prepared foods it will be far easier to keep over the long run.
