I don't have any space for a actual refugium my sump is by ART only 3 chambers with a bubble trap. What if I hung something over the edge of the baffle going into the return. Space for pods and chaeto. There is lip in those sumps that's why I was thinking on that baffle

I’m thinking about hanging it on the side of the sump. You think it would be somewhat beneficial to add a fuge? If I get new was looking at a aquamaxx and a acke led light from Amazon.

I think it depends on what you want the fuge to actually do. If it's just a place for pods then it's probably fine but I haven't had much luck with small refugiums when it comes to helping with Nit/Pho control. If you mostly want it for pods may be easier if you can fit some rock rubble in one of the three sections you already have.

I do have two mesh bags of rubble. One is easily accessible I could drop in the tank at night. The other one is in bewteeen egg crate skimmer stand. I really want the refugium for more diversity. I would like to get a mix n match from ipsf. The wonder mud and there live sand too really feed the tank. Mainly some thing to tinker with and grow.

The more I think about. I might as well just hang it on the back will cover up some of the top off straight through. The pump won’t be in the display or heater or anything else like that. I do have a gfo for phosphate control later or carbon, floss. At least the pods go straight to the display. And easier access to watch the critters in the refugium from the back.
