LF: metal stand cost & builder

Anyone know someone who can build/weld a metal stand for a 96x24x24 tank?
Stand height should be 30~34" high.

I keep reading it should be powdercoated also.

I would do it out of RocketEngineer's DIY wood stand design, but it would require 2x8 or 2x10 wood for top frame to prevent deflection.

Seems like a lot of wasted vertical space (less space for sump, skimmer, etc).

Here are a couple of pics of stands here in the area.

Nice work!
How much would an 8-footer cost where I have no center brace (because I want to fit two large sumps in there (48 long acrylic and 46 wide glass)

Also, can the stand be made like 8foot+2inch (and the tank rests on plywood board)? Without the tank directly over the ends of the supports?

It would still be supported by the "length runners".
Only reason is to allow the two sump tanks to slide directly in.

Not sure on cost I would have to ask they are closed until after New Years but I will ask.
They build all kinds of stuff they can make it any way you like.
If you only wanted four vertical legs they would most likely make the top frame out of
2-1/2" Wide x 4" tall steel or taller to be able to span that far apart.
The lower stand could be 8'-2" Long x 2' 2" Wide made out of 1-1/2" steel this way your tank would sit over top frame supporting it and not relying on wood to hold it.
Note inside clearance side to side would be 95" so you would have an inch to play with.
They just finished a stand for a friend of mine that has a 72" x 18" sump under neath and a 72" x 18" frag tank on top.
So the lower frame is 75-1/4" x 21-1/4" out side demennsion but the top frame is 2-1/2" x 1-1/2" steel so the top tank sits on frame instead of wood.

Here are a couple pic's of the above mentioned stand notice from the front it looks like its 1-1/2" x 1-1/2" but on top they used 2-1/2" x 1-1/2" so the customer could use the same size tank top and below.

They sent me a text today this one is ready to be powder coated Black.
It's 96' x 24" x 34" high the customer wanted an open side so they can get to the sump easy.
So they made the top tubing 1-1/2" x 3" tall to span the distance.
I can't wait to go see it in person when it's done.

Impressive!

Great looking stands

Yes his work is awesome they do all kind's of steel fabrication mostly big commercial and residential stuff.
It all started when a girl I know wanted a steel stand.
I was surprised he would even do it.
Then it turn's out a buddy of mine from the Bay Area who has been a friend for over 40 year's is the company who does his powder coating so it all worked out great for everyone involved.
Bad thing is every time I go pick up a stand we end up in his office talking about old time's

For those in Bay Area, the black stand Paul helped me out together will be in Oakland Chinatown area. :)

And I'm having dinner in China Town with the delivery driver
I know where to eat in Frisco but I will need recommendation for a good place in Oakland that serve's Pho Noodle's.
