Setting up my 210 soon and trying to figure out what pump to use. I want something with a good 3000-4000 gph and I prefer submersible pumps.

What are you using?
What would you recommend?
What might you have for sale?

Advice and opinions welcome!

On a pump pushing that much, your looking at 130 watts I believe for the SP6. DC would be alot less, but I don't think the affordable DC pumps have enough run time data on them yet (my opinion only, not up for a debate on this issue as you can find plenty of them!).

This is mainly why I run the pump external, to keep the majority of the heat from the pump out of the water.

It is a very quiet pump as no fan. The Panworld P-100 I have on my 120 is very noisy due to the integral fan. I have run Iwaki's, Little Giant, Panworld, Laguna, and Reef Flow in the past. The Fluval is basically a Laguna pump with ceramic bearings I believe (so Askol motor block).

It is a large pump (physically) with 1 1/4 inlet and outlet fittings.

+1 for the Fluval
I have the Fluval SP6 on my 300 gallon and love it. Super quiet and moves lots of water. It doesn't seem to really be adding any major heat to the tank.
