LF Reef Octopus Biopellet reactor

funny to see this, I was going to ask you what you used for a reactor. I'm thinking of adding bio pellets to my frag tank. hope you find one, let me know how it goes it will help convince me to go for it.

Help me find and do research on these reactors- its not easy finding ones that are affordable and built for biopellets the way I want them.

I really like the way the reef octopus bh110 reactors are built (just from my online research). I like the cone bottom and the flow of the pellets that the reactor shows on youtube. I would not buy any of those reactors that simply spin the pellets or the biochurn reactors. I like my pellets grinding on each other and against the walls of its container. I used very little pellets in my phosban reactor and I got excellent results.

I also really like the Hydra aquatics reactor that marine depot sells. It has a port for refilling the biopellets without taking the thing apart.

I use to have the Hydra reactor and was great.. Here is a short video on the reactor when it was up and running

Have you looked into the avast reactors?

Buy the reef dynamics one!

Have you had experience with the reef dynamics one? Why would you buy it? I like the concept, i'm just not sure the fancy factor is necessary. I really like the simplicity of the reef octopus reactor and a sicce 1.5.

At the same time, I have someone offering me a reef dynamics 250 reactor for a great price and I'm leaning toward buying it. I really don't like how big the 250 is; way too big for my needs. I ran about an inch of pellets in my 55 gallon and that was plenty, I can't imagine using that much more for a 90 gallon. I'm also concerned where to put the reef dynamic 250 reactor- i'll have to go look up the dimensions.
