LF: SUPPLIMENTAL T5 LIGHTING 24-36in

Ty,

Don't know if this might be of help to address a problem but it might be useful.

http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2350738

When I first got my d120 (Used) Over a year ago I noticed that my SPS colors were fading away. ( I think you helped me with warranty) To sum up the thread I tried two 36 inch super actinic for about 2 months along with a string of 420nm LEDS. Then I tried a new panel config and noticed amazing difference from the side the new panel was on vs the old. I took apart the old panels and noticed the UVs were burnt out just like rogers.
Since then all panels have been replaced and I have found a great layout after a year of trail and error. I can honesty say I am happy with growth and coloration with my d120. For short time I was very close to going back to MH. I will try to update thread this weekend.

I remember reading that thread.
I have no issues with the D120,

I actually made the layout after my own trials this is my 4th gen d120. (our group buy was liek my 4th or 5th haha) I have had this layout for close to a year if not more. I got the color spot on.

I am propagating Sunburst Anemones and wanted a more orange color. They get oranger under T5s.

I wish I could capture a true color pic of my tank but my Iphone hates LED.

I have an Icecap 660 and a wiring harness if you're interested in that. You'd have to get the endcaps and bulbs, but it would be a quick project.

I have two 34" 96watt power compacts wired to a Fulham Workhorse 7 ballast with three spare bulbs. I'm not sure if PCs will work for what you're trying to do but I'll sell them to you for $25.00 if they will.

Not a fan of Icecap especially not for T5s. Hmm I'll prob just end up getting the BRS kit eventually.

No PC lamps won't work, I'm looking for T5. Thanks,

I an running D120 but would like to add two T5 24in to my existing lighting.

I am probably going to have to go with this but I'd figure id ask herre first.

DIY HO T5 would be considered but 24-36in.

Let me know what you have, I'll pay cash or trades. Ty

I bought (3) of the 3' kits about 2 months ago. 6 bulbs over my frag tank was too much and bleached most of what I have in there. I unplugged one of the ballasts a couple weeks ago. If you're interested, what do you think is a fair price? Probably about an hour drive for you though.

Thats awesome. Is the ballast only for 3ft or 39watt? Could it be used with 2ft 24watt bulbs? I do not want to overdrive. These are just for color I do not want too much more intensity.

I have no idea how T5 and their ballast work.

I have a 40 Breeder I'm worried i'll lost my lower light areas for my Leptoseris, chalice, etc with a 36 in bulb now that I think of it.

They will be suspended 15inches above water same as D120

I am interested.

I have a Current Sunpaq 24" retro with single reflectors

Big thanks for helping me out.
