LF: wrasse suggestion

I think you should go with an exquisite or flame wrasse if you want some red. I currently have an exquisite, a solarensis, and a pair of flame wrasses. I am planning on adding a scotts and a rosy scale. I may even add more since it is a 300. I agree with Phil on the Cirrhilabrus. However they are more pricey. Good luck on your choice!

Careful there; those are two of the MOST aggressive Cirrhilbrus you've picked out there. My typical advice is to not even trying to mix C. scottorum with other Cirrhilabrus. Also, C jordani and C. rubrisquamis almost never get along.

In my 150g I had a scotts, and an exquisite pair together and they got along great. I'm trying the "size matters" theory and as I pick the fish going in I size it to the most aggressive and go just a little bigger. I'm also going off of past experience with personality types and adding least aggressive to most aggressive. Having anthias in the tank too, I feed more frequently. My wrasses are fat and happy :) Plus all the anthias keep the wrasses busy displaying

It can be done (I have myself), but ultimately you're at the mercy of the attitude/personality of the one you end up with.

I just wanted to make sure you know what you're getting into. :) It helps tremendously when you take the right approach (which it sounds as though you are). Best of luck.

Man I just want to have a large tank 300+ gals and have lots of wrasses, tangs and anthias... those are my 3 fav types of fish

Those are my favorites too! I have 3 disbars right now. Thinking about some bartletts, and going to talk to Carlos about getting me some threadfins or some other cool anthias. So far I only have one tang, a maculiceps(because he was so cool and I couldn't resist since I've never seen the fish in the LFS before) I'm waiting on adding the other tangs until last.

That is an awesome tang! I love it too!!! Its on my list for one day ownership. I wouldn't mind a male lyretail anthia but I don't want anything that would potentially mess with my borbonious anthia (he very shy... stays on one side the tank and just sorta hovers in an area except when its feeding time he's out and darting everywhere!!! Or before the lights are on he's the forst awake all the time)

Well went to Reef Monsters to get a Flame Angel... Walked out witha Pygmy Potters Angefish (its the one my wife really wanted when i sent her over to liveaquaria). Still waiting on my carpenter's wrasse but Jorrel is awesome and always follows through!

I will get a picture soon. He is in his acclimation box right now. Hes a little smaller than my Wanatabei Angel but bigger than my tang. So i don't except aggession issues from my tang. The other fish are like OMG *** is this box and are all hiding... after they got fed a heaping does of REEF STEW!
