LF/WTB Various Macro Algae - suggestions needed

Hey all, I have a chaetomorpha already. I'd like to dedicate another section of my sump for different types of macroalgae. It'd be great if it was something I could feed to my tangs, any suggestions and does anyone have some for sale?

Looking to buy some near orange county.

Thanks,

Matt

I bought some red leaf algae that supposed to be loved by the tangs. The piece is too small to feed them yet but it grows ok. I think chaeto is best at soaking up nutrients with possible exception of Xenia garden. Just imo

It's not super common anymore but if you can grow/harvest (discard or give away) Xenia, it seems to be one of the best nitrate and phosphate absorbers. Ofcorse it's possible for it to make it into your main tank and you will try to hunt me down for suggesting it. The people that run it successfully, seem to really like it. Plus you build reef karma with giving it away to new reefers.

I love the look of xenia but I am worried about it making it's way to the display. That's a pretty cool option though I didn't realize they absorbed N and P like that.

I'll look into the red leaf type algae

Red Ogo and green Ogo are great. Grows fast and tangs love them. I have a lot of green Ogo but I am in sgv.
