LFS Austin Tx

Going to be visiting some family in Austin soon. Any LFS I need to check out? Willing to drive a bit, just not half way across Texas.

I'm not sure about Austin, but i think its funny when people come to texas and make comments like "willing to drive a bit." Houston is short hop, skip, and jump away at about 2hrs from Austin...where as El Paso is long, boring 8hr drive from Austin.

2 hours is feasible. 8 isn't, which is why I said not half way across the state. Been before, understand its not Connecticut.

We live in Austin.

Only store we ever stop by is Aquadome.

Hunter is pretty nice over there :)

Houston is usually a little bit more than 2 hours away.

There's really no need, though. You should also hit up River City Aquatics and Fishy Business.

Aquatec and aquadome. Both are good lfs's. Aquadome is truly uniqe. They have one of the most amazing RSM display tanks i have ever seen.

Theres a smaller new store thats really into everything saltwater called Nekos reef in flugerville thats right next to austin.

You have the stores below to visit:

Aquadome - huge selection of fish, decent selection of zoas and lps, and they carry a ton of mariculture SPS often.
River City Aquatics - good selection of SPS and corals.
Fishy Business - not a ton of stock and a little pricey. Gems can be found.
Niko's Reef - decent prices and good selection of zoas and lps. Some decent SPS finds sometimes.
Aquatek - pricey but you can maybe find a gem or two.
Austin Aqua Farms - only open Sat 1-4pm but open to appointments during the week. Nice wholesale style place as most of his business is online. Best Acans in the business.
Just Reef - new store that just opened. Got some good stock in already but still adding. Not much SPS there yet but soon. Not the biggest store but prices seem pretty good on zoas.

If you are an SPS guy, hit me up if you want to check out my stock. I got a ton of goodies.

I'll agree with aquadome. That's the only store I go to. Theres also a nice smaller store in san marcos that always has tons of frags. (can't remember the name of it)
