Yeah...probably one of the first things I bought on the recommendation of a charming little salesperson. Dead within 24 hours. Would love to have another one now. They are fascinating when they light up. No way I'd kill another one though. Hope your experience is better!

Many stores are owned by people who know not a guppy from a grouper and some employees are of the same knowledge. That's why we are here! Next time please check it out with the RC boards first - that is if you didn't do your own homework. Sorry about what happened. I would love to see liscensing of pet shop owners and their employees - maybe one day it will happen. I mean where they have to pass a test qualifying them to care for life forms that they sell - not the liscening that collects taxes.

Inherited the tank...went to the fish store to pick up some inverts...didn't know about RC until after the fact. GREAT source of information.
