LFS in A2?

Hi all,

I just moved to Ann Arbor from Chicago and I'm trying to find a good local fish store. I was disappointed to find out that Age of Aquarium (a store I used to work in) has closed and, so far at least, I haven't found anything in town that looks decent. Is there a good shop I've missed? I'd love local forumer input!

preuss animal house in lansing is one of the best shops in the country. its about an hour drive, but IMHO, it blows away anything in detroit, or even chicago, for that matter.

I used to live in Ann Arbor and there was a pretty good store right over in Ypsilanti. Just go out the main drag past Arborland Plaza, the one that has a Border's or Barnes and Noble's in it, maybe 1-2 miles down on the right hand side.

They had a good selection of healthy fish, can't remember coral since I had a FOWLR back then.

Fish Doctors is where I've bought almost everything for the past 5 or 6 years. Make sure you talk to Luke or Jeremy if they are in. They're pretty knowledgeable. If you are coming from Ann Arbor, take Washtenaw east past 23. It's probably a mile or two into Ypsi. It will be on your right hand side across from the Big Boy and Right next to the Putt-Putt.

mooks84 and smithcreek, thanks for the advice. I actually went there a couple of days ago, and was a little disappointed with the quality of what I saw. Maybe I just went on a bad day...

Gregg, preuss looks really cool. I travel between GR and Ann Arbor fairly often, so maybe I'll swing by there one of these days!
