Hey folks

Have to go up to LAX this morning; any recommendations for a good LFS to pass the time away? Thanks

most places near LAX are wholesellers.. you can walk in and look (but you have to look like you know what you are doing...) and you cant buy anything

guys, aquaticoutlet is horrible. The service and owner is soo rude. He just wants to make a sale.
Just be careful what you buy there.

Make sure you take Azz protection when u go to aquaticoutlet

 But they do offer 40% off tho...........

after they mark it up 1000%

I've bought LR and LS from aquatic outlet...that's about it. The only other reason I go there is just to look around every once in a while. They have a pretty cool display.

guys so do we need a membership for aquaticoutlet how are the prices? Any good?

Does that main warehouse near LAX have a website?

Thanks

Sam

Yeah, it's like $12 a year and their dry goods are SOOOOOOO overpriced. Some of their stuff is decently priced if it's on sale, but it's really obvious that they're just in it to screw you out of your money.
Almost every time I've shopped there, I've had to double check what they're charging me, because it seems as though they're eager to charge you full price for something.
You have to bring a copy of the flyer, and give it to the person that packs your order, as well as the person that rings you up.
They seem really money hungry over there. I mostly just get my water from them nowadays.

I agree, their dry goods are overpriced and they're not really humane in keeping their livestocks. Almost evrytime I go there, they have fish dying.

I doo have a goof first impression with Jim's exotic Fish. Holding tanks for fish are bigger and I think they really take good care of the their fish and corals.

The owner at Aquatic Outlet is a jerk. The place also is pretty terrible IMHO, but at times you can score pretty cool things during their sales. I bought a Lrg neon green carpet anemone last year for 19.99. I would avoid their fish though. All the fish I have bought from there have died for some odd reason. They're more concerned w/ quantity than quality obviously. It's a place to check out occassionally, but be prepared to be disappointed 90% of the time.

I was checking out LFS and ran across Aquatic Outlet, and some one should really pull the plug on that place. Fish were in horrible condition, reef life was even in worse condition, I couldnt believe that anyone would buy anything from there. Even with the discount, you would still be throwing your money away. You would be luck if anything even survied the trip home. I think I only saw 2 items that would of made it. Just sad.
