LFS Recommendations?

I will be moving to Denver in a matter of weeks. I am currently modifying my 14g Bio Cube and I'm wondering if I could get some recommendations on some local fish stores. Also I was wondering if there are any local websites people use to sell equipment or fish/coral around the Denver area. I prefer to work with breeders/hobbyists, but if LFS is it then that's what I'll have to do.

Thanks

Erik

I like Elite Reef and Key's Island the best.

Elite Reef is located at 8410 Wadsworth Blvd Unit F
Arvada, CO 80003
(720) 379-8076

Key's Island is located at: 1800 W Oxford Ave Ste A
Englewood, CO 80110
(303) 783-0697

Local Clubs:
DARC - Here for communication
MASC - Marinecolorado.org

Stores (my take on them):
#1 - Elite Reef. The owners are hobbyists and have a genuine interest in the livestock. The store itself is small (sqft) but their selection is good and priced well. Probably the only store with prices comparable to online for both livestock and dry goods. They are also active in the club, meetings. swaps and social boards, that there speaks TONS about any business IMO.

#2 - Aquamart. Nice size store, good selection, more pricey then Elite but not bad either. Good amount of livestock and dry goods.

#3 - Keys Island. Small like Elite but reasonably priced. good livestock and good prices, probably priced better than aquamart however you will find a bit better coral selection at Aquamart.

Worth a mention - Reef N Pond. I hate this place, I dub them Ripoff N Pond. By far the most expensive store in the Denver Metro area. They are simply out their mind with their prices. However, the place is HUGE. They pretty much have whatever random thing you might need, this is the place I seem to always end up at looking for something that another fish store doesnt have. They always seem to have it then I see their 200% markup from other stores and walk out mad :headwallblue::lmao: The reason I mention them is because if you are in a pinch and need something and dont want to wait for a online order chances are they have it. Check Elite first though, if they dont have it they will probably get it for you and at a reasonable price.

Welcome to Colorado!

Keys Island
Elite Reef is good
My favorite would have to be Reef Koi up in the springs. More Corals then any LFS in the state.
