Anybody know what happened to Al at Neptune's Realm? I thought he had sold the store many years ago.... just wasn't sure if he was still around.

Back in the early 80s, Neptune's and Tropic Seas were the stores I frequented. I still remember the big P. Chrysuras angel that was in the back 300 at Neptune's for so long. He was only asking $1000 back then!

Of course, Al also fed my Hawaiian Marine salt habit.... :)

The've been gone for years, the store is a lot better now, no more free cigarette ashes with your fish purchase ;)
Its a lot more open and bright now, and Todd is a super friendly guy.

BTW they still have that 300 in back up and running minus the flatworms ;)

Thanks for the suggestions. I will be sure to check all of them out. I will mostly be looking for clams. Which store usually has the best selection/price? Thanks.

I've seen clams at Exotic Tropicals, Mr Aqua and Fishy Business. Prices are definitely highest at Mr Aqua.

I don't get to Neptune's so I can't say. COreefer lives closer. Eric, do you know?

I'd recommend giving each of them all a call before you come down if that's what you're really looking for.

Didn't Key's Island in Denver have any?

Keys Island has everything. Good prices too.

Neptunes has a few clams but not a whole lot. Personally its alwasy worth the trip just to check out there monster Peacock Mantis. If I had the room for another aquarium I would get an acrylic just for her. Definately give each shop a call as some have funky days they are closed.

yeah that peacock is sweet. I want to setup a tank for it, but dont need the maintainance of another tank. I was at neptunes yesterday and dont remember seeing any clams, same with Mr. Aqua he was low on clams too maybe only 1 or 2 at the most I think. I see the most at exotic but he too is low, only 3 croceas as of yesterday.

i got one of the croceas from exotic the other day. still has 2 left though. Seascapes had one last week when i was in there.
