i have one... i like it because its easy to read... and accurate.
never heard the alarm go off yet so i couldnt tell you if it works.

I have one. THe display is huge for us nearsighted people. It is pretty accurate in comparing to my other thermometer, instant meat thermometer. (Don't tell my wife). The alarm is not too loud , sounds like a portable alarm clock. I have one for over 3 years and only replace the battery once. HTH

One of these saved my tank one time. I kept hearing some beeping and I couldn't figure out what it was coming from. I kept searching the house and eventually got to my tank do find out that the thermostat on my heater was broken and locked on the "on" position. I'm glad I was home that day and I'm glad that I had one of these.
