Life of Tunze Streams

Roger,

With proper maintenance, what is the life of the Tunze Stream models (such as 6001) and multi controllers? Also, what is the warranty on these products?

2 year warranty, the pumps should last about 10 years- the controllers usually last until they get wet, actually the same generally applies to the pump electronics. I would always use a surge supressor as power surges kill some pumps every year.

A 6100 has a computer on it, if the computer gets a sudden burst of power- usually because lightning strikes a power line- buh bye computer. This is a $90+ part so it is worth buying a surge surpressor just like you would for your home computer, these are basically 6 strips but they have capacitors and resistors inside to smooth the power and absorb any minor surges or dips and trip a breaker if a major surge occurs.
