Great thank you [emoji106]Limpet...good guy...
I will keep an eye on it there is nothing in tank at moment as its a new setup but thank you for replying with this as will watch out and see what it gets upto [emoji106]Yeah Limpet...I have seen sources that say safe and I have seen some that say certain species are suspect. If its not bothering anything I guess let it be...It most definintly will reproduce on you though giving you lots of them over some time. I had some show up in my QT tank once, hence why I know.
I have magnet cleaner on my tank so hopefully one of these dont get behind that and scratch glass. Might have to keep a close eye on possible reproduction on these.+1 to that with the glass magnet cleaner!
These have come in on the live rock a added to tank while cycling reef tank. Hopefully they won't cause any issues.I've had many limpets in almost all of my tanks after a handful of moves. I've never encountered on that was a problem, nor have I had one get stuck in my magfloat and scratch my glass. I'm rebuilding a 2'ish year old tank after a prolonged winter power outage and have noticed a few limpets on the glass. They leave behind a trail of cleared film algae and nothing more than poo.
It's a good idea to keep an eye out for any odd behavior out of something you didn't add to the tank for a reason, but your risk of problems is low to zero with these guys.

The likelihood of problems is incredibly low-to-nil. I consider them a dollar saved on a snail whenever I see one. Ditto for stomatila snails, colistina snails, bristle worms, and astrea stars. There's a lot of cool microfauna that you'll notice as your tank matures. Most of it is perfectly safe. These have come in on the live rock a added to tank while cycling reef tank.
