Lifereef Filter Canisters

I have a CLF1 Compact Berlin system that I bought from Jeff at Lifereef I think it was 2007. It sat and collected dust until I finally got my aquarium up and running last Oct. Can't say anything bad as I'm new to the hobby and I think it works great. I am ready to start really adding corals to my reef and am going to start Red Seas reef foundation program and was wondering if I should add on the Canister set up he has in stock I think I have to call. Has any one had experience with them I would like to here comments before I make my decision. As of right now I have a small algae problem that I need to fix and thought this would be a good place to start. But I also know that it might be the lighting I have along with the location of my aquarium.

Hey Phil !
I looked at the CLF1 on the LifeReef webpage and they are very nice sump setups. I did not find any info on the canister on their webpage so can you be a little more precise on what piece of equipment you are talking about ? some details on your tank size and stock would also be nice
