light acclimation question

I just up graded my 175w 14k to a 250w 10k. i moved the light up about 4 inches when i first put it on there. my question is would it be ok to move it down about an inch every other day untill it is back to where it was? or should i move it more or less? thanks for any help.

i would move it less, but everything in your tank will tell you how far and how fast. if something starts to look a little funky, dont be afraid to move the lights back up
