Light blue=more light???

I have several crocea. My latest 2 are lighter blue. They tend to close up more than the others (greener toned ones) on the sand bed. Moving them higher in the tank, they seem to like. Do the lighter blue ones like more light?

1+ month ago, 250w mh, mix of 12,15 and 20k. maybe like many suggest, they want to be attached to rock. I have 10 clams. The greener crocea seem to be fine in the sand bed. as do my 2 blue max.

If they're directly under a bulb on the sand they should be getting enough light (they're in the 125 right?). Do they only close when something "scares" them, like a shadow or bump or are they just closed most of the time? If they react to stimulus like shadows actively, then that's a good sign. Clams don't need to attach to rocks to be happy. Normally the metallic green croceas (along with crocea's in general) need more light than maxima's.
