light distance above the water

thanks for the quick response, another quick question, I am about to put the top of the stand on the frame I am using a 3/4 inch pice of plywood, is it ok to put the screws through the plywood into the frame under where the tank will sit and just counter sink the screws?

Thats what I have done...but countersink them at least 1/8in deeper than "flush" to account for any compression or warping that may happen. I did mine at 1/4...but after 3 years I think I would have been safe with 1/8.
