Light Duration Times

I have a 65 gallon (48X18X18) that is in it's starting stages.

Live rock is cured already and there is no livestock yet. How long should I leave my lighting (Tek Light 4X54W) on for per day? As far as I understand, fish don't care about lighting and rock doesn't need very much so it should pretty much be esthetic at this point.

When I get my clam, how long should my lights be on?

IMO...I dont think the lights are enough for a clam (depends on clam).....otherwise...a good 10 hours on is a good time....and no, right know, you can do 3~4 hours until you get clean-up crew.....
