Light for 40b and 14 cube

Im looking to start my new 40 breeder. I need a light that can let me keep soft coral, and not break my bank. It's going to be fowlr but I may add softies in the future. Will the extra width effect the light?

Also, would 1 par 38 bulb be enough to keep anything in a 14g biocube? Or should I get 2?

Would this work for the 40b?

imo there are better lights for cheaper than the 40br light you picked out.

TEK or ATI i would recommend however since you aren't set on corals i would get the tek, little less $ but still an awesome light. it actually is a couple bucks cheaper as well and it will grow most corals.
